Is there any "How to use HT Control" guide?

No, there isn't. All features should be easy and self-explaining. This FAQ section tries to solve some common doubts. If you wish more information, try these two HT users detailed explanations (thanks to both of them):

What do the icons near the players names mean?

They refer to specialities::
technical
quick
powerful
unpredictable
head

How can I use the central left panel in the "Matches" section?

There, you can add new opponents that you want to spy:
1. Introduce the "TeamID" of the wished team.
2. Click "Add" button.
3. Select "Rivals - Matches" at the "Connection" section to download their matches.

Can I see my serie rivals ratings?

Add them as rivals (explained before) and, after having download their matches, you will see those team's summaries.

Do I have to put all my youth squad players in manually?

No, you don't. When downloading all the data from Hattrick, if the program detects a new youth squad player, he will be automatically added in the "Youth Squad" section list. If you sell him later, the sale price will be added too (if it was zero before).

Why don't my old youth squad players appear?

Hattrick Control only gets the data downloaded from Hattrick servers. Players old skills are not stored and the current data are not valid because their skills, age and so on have changed. So you must connect after promoting your new player.

How is the youth squad players classification set?

It depends on the sale price. If a youth squad player is sold for a low price, he will be "Saleable", but if he gets a higher one, he could be "Promising" or may be even "Crack".

You must keep in mind that only their value just after being promoted is taken into account, not when he has already been trained. So, if you don't sell the player because he might be useful for your team, you must introduce his market value manually.

Categories limits:

• Plumber. Sale price below 1 000 € (no sale).
• Saleable. Sale price below 20 000 €.
• Acceptable. Sale price below 100 000 €.
• Promising. Sale price below 500 000 €.
• Crack. No limit.

These limits are capable of changing according to users suggestions. However, there is not the possibility to change them depending on user's election, because there is a long term project with the aim of collecting them in this website if Hattrick Control users wish to, and now the youth squad players percents in each category are subjected to a global study.

Why does my youth squad player (who is fantastic) appear as "Plumber"?

Youth squad players classification depends on their sale price. If his sale price is zero, he is classified as plumber (not a good soccer player). When you sell him, the program will assign him a new category according to his sale price.

As said before, if you want to keep him in your team, you must assign a predictable market sale price manually.

What is the "Transfers" section useful for?

You can introduce in the list those players you are interested in and their skills. The program helps you to compare them with colors and visual assistance.
Moreover, when the bid end arrives, a popup will be shown and the Hattrick Control window will blink.

Where did you get the "Options" section values for each position from?

They are an approximate evaluation that I have done about the player output in each position. Of course they are debatable and you can configure them as you want.

I hate the program icon. Can I use another one?

Yes. Some users have done others that are availble in the Hattrick Control executable:

To change the icon in the desktop, rigth buttom click on the original, select "Propierties", and "Change icon...". Select the folder where the program is installed and choose the file "HattrickControl.exe". Now you can see the availble icons.
